Why Pattern Imprinted Concrete?

All of these driveways have suffered years of weather exposure and constant traffic abuse:

Pattern Imprinted Concrete vs. Traditional Paving

Here we look at the things that set Pattern Imprinted Concrete apart from those paved using common ‘traditional’ methods...

Block Paving

While block paving looks nice when it’s first laid, it won’t be long before you have the never ending task to maintain it and keep up with the constant demand of weeding , dips will start to appear, blocks become loose and will spread and fade. Block paving is an expensive exercise – so why pay over the odds for what could be a ‘temporary’ job that demands high maintenance when pattern imprinted concrete can create the same effect but with none of these disadvantages?

Tarmacadam

One of the more ‘traditional’ methods of paving, tarmacadam is notorious for providing a thin, unsatisfactory surface that can melt in heat, has severely limited life expectancy and fades from black to an unattractive, pale grey in a short period of time.

Paving Slabs

A cheap and - in a lot of cases - temporary paving solution, slabs are a cost-conscious alternative in the short term but will need constant maintenance from moss and weeds and are likely to crack and sink under any strain, making them look unsightly in a short period of time. This means you will therefore incur the cost of replacing it, while imprinted concrete has a much longer lifespan.

Plain Concrete

If laid correctly, plain concrete can hold its looks well – but why settle for plain old grey concrete when you can have a choice of attractive choice of colours and patterns with our pattern imprinted concrete paving?

Shingle

Shingle may seem a cheap alternative initially – but it has a habit of ‘disappearing’ through use and is not the most attractive of options. Regular top-ups mean you’re better investing in a more permanent solution – and not having to try to retrieve shingle from your lawn and inside the house.

Crazy Paving

Suffering from similar problems to paving slabs and plain concrete, traditional crazy paving can turn into a nightmare to manage – but we can recreate the effect with none of the hassle using pattern imprinted concrete.

Imprinted Concrete

This Imprinted concrete driveway is around ten years old and has suffered the constant weather and vehicle traffic abuse as the traditional methods above without any of the drawbacks, as you can see.
